Beach view
The parking lot is next to the beach on the one side but also next to the highway on the other side. So the view and the breeze is beautiful, but the traffic noise in the evening and morning is not so nice. With earplugs everything is fine! ;)The host Jim is very kind and helpful!

Beach Front
Great location but a little tight quarters. Electric and Water-Dump site is available. If you book on the Highway side it is a little noisy. We spent 3 days on the Beach side and enjoyed its close proximity to the sand.

Awful customer service Money grabbers
I booked this campsite in error for the following day.
As it was out of hours, I could not speak to anyone to explain. When I contacted a rep the next day they just quoted ‘policy’ and said (patronisingly) they would not offer any refund of the $70. This is after I immediately cancelled it and they could sell the plot again to someone else. Escalated, but heard nothing back.
Awful, petty customer service, but having read the reviews of the campground, maybe I dodged a bullet.

Beach Camping in a parking lot
Nice little camping area by the beach. If you are on the roadside it can get a little noisy. Fun place to get away for a couple of days

Bolsa Chica State Beach
The 4 stars is primarily for location. This is essentially a parking lot with power and water. We had a beach front space (B035) with a decent sized palm tree. The only one I really saw. The spaces aren’t huge so if you have a big rig or large trailer it will be tight. Most trailers parked their tow vehicle perpendicular to the space and some barely fit. There is no privacy, the small concrete area is shared with your neighbors as is the entrance to the beach side. People watching at the boardwalk is amazing. There is live music at the beach bars nearby which was cool. Definitely bring bike. There isn’t a lot within walking distance but downtown Huntington Beach and the pier is just a couple miles away.

What’s better than RVing on the beach
So you’re looking at a six month waiting period to get in so if you plan to come here make sure you book 6 months in advance. You must reserve online and then it’s $15 no matter what size vehicle or rig to enter the state park.If you’re just coming to enjoy the beach for a day that’s also $15.Great water to playing with your family or enjoy a nice surf on your board this RV park has restrooms available for campers not to mention electrical hook ups your RV must be self containing as in restroom showers etc. they do have a dump station and you Can also fill up your water and head on down the road to the next place. This place is great each spot also has a big slab for you to be able to pull out your tables on and chairs they do have some tables throughout the park where you’re able to enjoy a nice snack or dinner but each spot does not come with a table so make sure you bring your own the spaces have enough room for your RV as well as another vehicle.

Close to OC comforts
Super convenient beach front parking with good restrooms and outdoor showers as well as a beach path perfect for walking, biking, rollerblading, etc. The beach is pretty wide here so may take a good minute to get to the ocean, but definitely worth it for the convenience with proximity to restaurants, stores, etc. There are even a few restaurants located on the beach path within the state beach parking area.

Been there, done that!
Why do people pay $80+reservation fee to camp here? True, it is June the weather is typical June gloom, unable to see Catalina and the oil islands are not much of a view. I tried a hike at the Bolsa Chica Reserve, but when the police helicopter started flying above me, I decided to go back.We came here because we had business in the area and were able to pickup some cancellations for a few nights so we did not have to do the 405 commute. So that is one positive. Also, sites do have water and electricity.Negatives are:
- Cost $80/night plus reservation fees.
- Sites are very close together
- No table or fire ring at your site (May bring your own or use large ring on the beach) was too windy while we were here, anyway.
- Right on PCH, highway noise
5.premium sites are right on the bike path, no fence. parents watch your children closely! Not my idea of beach camping. Also, we avoid the 405 anyway, just saved ourselves some commute time by staying here.

Sites next to the beach. Spots are all concrete, very tight so you better be good at backing up your toys. Water and electric only but they do have a dump station. Overall, we enjoyed it very much.

Beach front campground in Southern California
Beachfront camping in the heart of southern California. Concrete/asphalt sites with water electric and dump station. Adjacent to PCH so road noise but steps away from great sand beaches. Easy access to Long Beach and not far from Disneyland so great when kids came in from out of state to visit. bike path runs by the site for miles in both directions. Campfire rings on the beach but not in the campground.

Great RV Camping
No tents but trailers and RV’s are welcome. Imagine camping at the beach with all the amenities and close to everything you’d want to do in SoCal. There are stores and restaurants nearby for those forgotten items or a quick meal. Super Mex has excellent Mexican food and a few storefronts down you’ll find sushi.
